6th Grade:

Spelling:  Unit 19:  Adding -ion or -ation
             
                
                            
Grammar:  The students will be doing the topic, Evaluating Arguments on Study Island. 
        
                   

Literature:      Students will read a non-fiction piece, Men From Earth, about the first American astronauts who walked on the Moon.
                       
       
                       




                     
                               
7th Grade:

Spelling:  Unit 19:  Vowel Changes II
                
                           
Grammar:  Study Island assignment on the topic, Central Ideas(7B), and Text Structure(7A).

Literature:    Students will start reading, The Bar Code Tattoo, by Suzanne Weyn.
                    Students will read a non- fiction piece on "The Titanic."
                    
                     
                     
                   
                    
                  
                   
8th Grade:

Spelling:  Unit 19:  Vowel Changes II
                            

Grammar:    Study Island assignment on the topic, Evaluating Arguments(8A), and Author's Point of View(8B).

Upcoming Events:  


The School-wide Spelling Bee is next Thursday, January 17th, at 9:00 a.m. in the CES cafeteria.

There is no school on Friday, January 18th.  This is an Administrative Day for teachers.
